** On October 1, 2015 the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) changed the process by which Medicare and Medicaid reimbursments are computed and remitted. That change centers around the rollout of version 32 of the DRG Grouper.

Version 32 completes the transition of the underlying patient coding system from ICD-9-CM to ICD-10-CM. The 10th revision of the International Classification of Diseases (ICD), Clinical Modifications (CM) expands the patient coding system to more than 69,000 diagnosis codes and more than 52,000 procedure codes.

Though CMS has provided numerous tools to aid in this process, none are specifically designed for the iSeries platform. iPgmr.com has imported the CMS data files and used them to build an iSeries resident grouper.
